The ads on this site help support things like:
- The cost of web hosting for this site (the server that the site sits on comes out of my own money).
- Helps the author put money together for software like Vmware which installs different versions of Linux in one PC so that we can give unbiased reviews and insight into the different versions of Linux out there. Check our video tutorials for examples of this.
But honestly, why have ads on a website that promotes free software?
- The website is a labour of love, as with much of the rest of the Linux community is. It takes a lot of effort and time to make the site and keep the forums up to date, keep the articles fresh and so forth. Currently I'm the only author on the site and I fit the site around my job. There's nothing like a little cash to reward your efforts!
