Linux software to pass on http request to server bank

i stumbled on a program for linux a while ago that would accept http request and then pass them onto a server bank that would measure what server had the least Cpu utilization % and then allo that request to be passed to that server,

anyone know what program that would be or be able to point me in the direction of that one please
