hey guys,

been a long time since i posted. i installed ubuntu 9.10 on an external hdd and then installed virtualbox on it. i installed CentOS, Fedora12 and Windows XP each as virtual machines.

my problem is this...
everytime i start a virtual machine, doesn't matter which one, the window is very small. when i try to resize it, it doesn't respond. when i go full screen, the acual size of the vm stays its original size, just now surrounded with black. it doesn't seem to go fullscreen or respong to resizing. it looks like a little monitor inside a black box.
does anyone know how to fix this? i have done some research but i don't find anything that helps.

thanks alot guys

sounds like you haven't installed the virtualbox tools. Ensure you install them and install it in the guest operating system to support greater video resolutions and multimedia capabilities.
