Skype Comes to Linux in a Snap

Skype For Linux (Alpha)

Like some other Windows apps, their Linux equivalent say are either non existent, or run poorly due to lack of love from their authors.

But that’s all slowly beginning to change, like our recent post on Spotify, you can now you can get fully featured Skype on your Linux box, courtesy of Canonical and a snap package. Enjoy!

If you want to install Skype, simply enter the following (using Ubuntu 16.04):

  1. Open up a terminal window
  2. Type the command sudo snap install skype
  3. Type your password.

That’s it!
