  1. I think this site is fantastic and it really matters that you did it. Well done for all your hard work and thank you for keeping the jargon down. It’s extremely difficult navigating the linux world and this is a straight forward and understandable education tool. Well done.

  2. After reading this article I took the bull by the horns downloaded Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.3 burnt it on to a DVD and Installed it to my C drive and no longer have W10 on my PC and never will return to the MS fold. Am I happy, yes very happy

  3. Why doesn’t your great informative website linuxnewbieguide.org show up whatsoever in the broad large Linux Foundation website — linuxfoundation.org/search/newbie guide ??? – which is a BIG shame is doesn’t!!!! Nevertheless Thanks for your GREAT HELPFUL website!!!! And HOPING at my age I can make the successful HAPPY transition to LINUX!!!!

    1. HI Garry,

I don’t think think the LinuxFoundation are that sort of a website that provides external resources like that. They are more a governing body, I guess like the EU is to European countries. Anyway, if you like the website, then please share it on other blogs and sites so you can help others and spread the word.

Wishing you all the best on your successful transition to Linux,
      Alistair Ross
